Jemison, AL

Jemison is a city in northern Chilton County, Alabama, situated at the geological southern terminus of the Appalachian Mountains. Historically home to the Creek Indians who were drawn to the area's natural springs, the community lies near the geographic center of Alabama's population. Today, the growing town operates Jemison Elementary School, which stands as the largest public school in the county.
