About Jerome

Jerome is a rural census-designated place in the southeast corner of Drew County, Arkansas. Formerly an incorporated town, the community surrendered its charter in 2021 and has a population of around fifty. During World War II, Jerome was the site of the Jerome War Relocation Center, a major Japanese American internment camp. The settlement lies along U.S. Route 165, ten miles south of Dermott and seven miles north of Montrose.
