About Jessup

Jessup is a borough in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, situated in the Lackawanna River valley. Settled in 1849 and named in honor of Judge William Jessup, the former anthracite coal-mining community of approximately 4,495 is served by the Valley View School District for public primary and secondary education locally for residents.
