Jimmerson Lake, IN

Jimmerson Lake is an unincorporated community and census-designated place surrounding its namesake lake in northern Steuben County, Indiana. The lake sits seven miles northwest of Angola, the county seat, and five miles southeast of Orland. Its southeast end receives water through a short channel from Lake James, and its outlet flows into Crooked Creek before joining the Fawn River and the St. Joseph River. Jimmerson Lake is part of a connected northeast Indiana water landscape, not an isolated pond, and the drainage links it to Lake Michigan.

The lake organizes present-day community life. The Jimmerson Lake Association holds regular meetings from April through September and keeps homeowners connected to water conditions and neighborhood concerns. Jimmerson Shores Cooperative provides a residential community with direct access for fishing, boating, skiing, wakeboarding, and tubing, plus boat connections toward Lake James, Snow Lake, and Otter Lake. Angola supplies the nearby county-seat services, while the shoreline, channels, and lake associations give Jimmerson Lake its own daily rhythm.
