About Joppatowne

Joppatowne is a southwestern Harford County census-designated place near the Gunpowder River and the Bush River. Its history reaches back to Foster's Neck, which was once intended to succeed the town of Old Baltimore on the Bush River. Today Joppatowne is more residential and marina-oriented, with waterfront neighborhoods, schools, and commuter access toward Baltimore, Aberdeen, and Bel Air. The rivers give it a Chesapeake-edge feel that separates it from more inland Harford County suburbs.
