About Junction City
Junction City is a city in Lane County, Oregon, situated in the fertile southern Willamette Valley near the Willamette River. Incorporated in 1872 and named by railroad magnate Ben Holladay, the community of approximately 6,900 was historically a center for recreational vehicle manufacturing. Today, the town is celebrated for its deep Scandinavian heritage, hosting the popular annual Scandinavian Festival every August, and is served by the Junction City School District.
