Kanauga is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Gallia County, Ohio, United States. The 2020 census counted 185 residents. A post office called Kanauga was established in 1896, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in the 1960s. The origin of the name Kanauga is obscure.
