About Kasigluk

Kasigluk is a census-designated village in the Bethel Census Area of western Alaska, along the Johnson River in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta. The community has a little over six hundred residents and is served by two schools in the Lower Kuskokwim School District. Its setting matters: river travel, delta wetlands, distance, and Yup'ik village life all shape the way Kasigluk fits into western Alaska. It is small, but it is very much its own place.
