Kasota, MN

Kasota is a quiet community tucked along the eastern banks of the Minnesota River, just a couple of minutes south of St. Peter and a short drive from Mankato. With around 700 residents, the town offers plenty of peace and elbow room while keeping jobs, grocery runs, and local dining conveniently close. The surrounding bluffs and river valley give the whole area a scenic, easygoing feel.

The town is well known for its unique Kasota limestone, a warm-toned stone quarried locally and used in prominent buildings across the country. Nature lovers have the Kasota Prairie right in their backyard, where trails wind through native grasses, oak woods, and wildflower meadows overlooking the valley. It makes for a calm, welcoming spot to put down roots while staying connected to the larger neighboring towns.
