Kekaha, HI

Kekaha sits on the far western edge of Kauaʻi, offering plenty of sunshine and a quiet, laid-back coastal setting. With around 3,700 residents, it serves as the last main community along Route 50 before the road heads toward the vast sands of Polihale State Park or climbs into Waimea Canyon. The town grew out of a rich sugar plantation heritage, and that old-school Hawaii charm is still felt along its residential streets. Kekaha Beach runs right along the southern edge of town, giving locals front-row seats to year-round surf, fishing, and evening sunsets with views out toward the island of Niʻihau.
