Kensington is a town in Montgomery County, Maryland, situated northwest of Washington, D.C. Developing around the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad and a historic 1895 streetcar line, the community of approximately 2,369 features the historic Kensington Historic District listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The town is home to the Noyes Library for Young Children and is served by Montgomery County Public Schools.
