Keystone, IA

Keystone is a Benton County city set in east-central Iowa, part of the Cedar Rapids metropolitan area and shaped by a railroad extension that reached the town in 1881. The Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul line gave the settlement its reason for being, while German heritage and local trade supplied the civic texture around it. The 2020 census counted 599 residents.
