Kilauea, HI

Kilauea is an unincorporated community and census-designated place on the northeastern shore of Kauai in Kauai County, Hawaii. The community of approximately 3,100 shares its name with the active volcano on the Big Island, translating to spewing in the Hawaiian language. Bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the north and the community of Kalihiwai to the west, the town lies along Hawaii Route 56, providing access to nearby Hanalei and the scenic Moloaa Forest Reserve.
