Killdeer, ND

Tucked where western North Dakota's open prairie meets the rugged badlands, Killdeer is a quiet community of under a thousand residents with some of the most striking scenery in Dunn County. The town takes its name from the Killdeer Mountains, the green, flat-topped buttes rising to the northwest that define the area's landscape.
