Kingsland got its start in the 1890s as a railroad stop on land owned by William Henry King, and you can still see those roots in the historic Royal District today. The intersection of Lee Street and King Street anchors the old downtown, where the charming brick former Camden Hotel now serves as City Hall and the local welcome center. From there, King Street runs east past I-95 toward St. Marys and the coast, while Lee Street takes you north and south along the classic U.S. 17 corridor.
