Kingston is a tiny, peaceful community in rural Adams County, Illinois, home to only a couple dozen residents. First laid out in the 1830s, the settlement traded names a few times in its early frontier days, even going by Fairweather when its first post office opened. Today, it offers quiet country living surrounded by open farmland, with a historic local church that has been holding services since the town was founded.
