About Kingston
Kingston is a Hudson Valley city at the confluence of Rondout Creek and the Hudson River. Its history reaches back to the Dutch, who had established a trading post at Ponckhockie by 1614, and the city later became New York's first state capital. Kingston still has a strong historic texture, especially around the Stockade District and Rondout waterfront. The O+ Festival adds a modern arts and music layer, making the city feel both old and creative, with river geography shaping much of its identity.
