Kingston, RI

Kingston is a South Kingstown village best known as the home of the University of Rhode Island. Much of the village center is protected as the Kingston Village Historic District, with local historic recognition dating to 1959 and National Register listing for much of the area. The university gives Kingston a steady academic presence, while older buildings and village roads keep it from feeling like a generic college suburb.
