Kistler, PA

Kistler is a quiet little borough sitting right along the east bank of the Juniata River in Mifflin County. Originally built in the early 1900s as a planned village for workers at the nearby brick plant, the whole neighborhood was thoughtfully arranged around a central green space. Because of that original layout, the streets feel open and uncluttered, with a friendly, park-like atmosphere throughout town.

Even though the old industrial days are long gone, Kistler still holds onto its vintage charm with classic clapboard homes and quiet river views. Daily life is relaxed, and residents can easily hop across the bridge into neighboring Mount Union for groceries, schools, and local dining. It makes for a peaceful, budget-friendly pocket of central Pennsylvania where you get historic character and a close-knit community feel.
