About Kittery

Kittery Point is a census-designated place in the town of Kittery, York County, Maine, situated along the Atlantic Ocean at the mouth of the Piscataqua River. First settled in 1623 by early English seafarers, the historic community of approximately 5,100 features Fort McClary State Historic Site and Fort Foster Park on Gerrish Island. The area also includes Seapoint Beach on Cutts Island and is served by the Kittery School Department.
