Kohls Ranch is a census-designated place in Gila County, Arizona, situated in the upper reaches of Tonto Creek valley at the southern foot of the Mogollon Rim. State Route 260 forms the northern boundary of the CDP, running sixteen miles west to Payson and seventy-three miles east to Show Low. With a population of 46 at the 2010 census, the settlement is served by the Payson Unified School District, with Payson High School as the local secondary institution.
