Lahoma, OK

Lahoma is a quiet rural town in Garfield County, sitting about 11 miles west of Enid along Highway 60. Home to around 500 residents, the community takes its name straight from the last three syllables of Oklahoma. The town was founded during the 1893 Cherokee Outlet land run and soon shifted a mile down the road to meet the incoming railroad, establishing the cozy street grid that stands today.

While it started as a farming center filled with grain elevators and flour mills, Lahoma has since become a relaxed bedroom community for commuters heading into Enid. Local kids attend Cimarron Public Schools, which keeps its main campus right on Main Street. For folks looking to trade city noise for wide-open Oklahoma skies and a quick 15-minute commute to work, Lahoma offers an easy, affordable place to call home.
