Lake Arrowhead, ME

Lake Arrowhead is a large, wooded residential community spread across the towns of Waterboro and Limerick in southern Maine. Originally developed in the 1960s as a seasonal retreat, it has grown into a year-round neighborhood of roughly 3,000 people. Daily life centers around the water, with member access to multiple private beaches, boat launches, clubhouses, and indoor and outdoor pools. It offers a relaxed, woodsy setting while keeping you within a 45-minute drive of Portland, Biddeford, and the coast.

Local families are part of the RSU 57 school district, while the active property owners association manages the recreation centers, community water systems, and miles of private roads. Because the area is purely residential, residents head into neighboring towns for shopping, dining, and groceries. Winters bring plenty of snow to the winding back roads, but the reward is easy access to swimming, fishing, and boating right in your backyard all summer long.
