About Lake Buckhorn
Lake Buckhorn is a Holmes County census-designated place built around a 220-acre reservoir created in 1967. It is a private, members-only lake community rather than a traditional village, with the water and wooded hills doing most of the place-making. Ohio 83 forms the eastern edge, leading north to Millersburg and south toward Coshocton. The lake drains through Doughty Creek toward Killbuck Creek, giving this corner of central Ohio a clear watershed identity.
