Lake Elmo, MN

Lake Elmo is a growing city in Washington County, on the eastern side of the Twin Cities area. Much of the city still has a rural look, with farmland inside the city limits even as new growth pushes its population upward. The community takes its name from nearby Lake Elmo, and its early settlement began with a farm near what is now Manning Avenue and 30th Street. Highway 36 and Interstate 94 frame the city, giving it a suburban location without fully losing its open-country feel.
