Lakehead, CA

Lakehead sits at the west side of Shasta Lake in Shasta County, where Interstate 5 enters a landscape of steep forested slopes, coves, and the Sacramento River arm of the reservoir. The community is close to the Shasta-Trinity National Forest and to the lake's boat ramps, campgrounds, roads, and trails. At 1,447 feet, it lies in the warm, dry foothill country north of Redding, and the 2020 census counted 469 residents.
