Tucked along the southwest shore of Onondaga Lake, Lakeland is a quiet residential enclave in the Town of Geddes, sitting just minutes west of downtown Syracuse. Over a century ago, this stretch of shoreline was a bustling summer getaway complete with lakeside hotels, an amusement park, and direct trolley lines from the city. Decades of heavy industry eventually reshaped the area, but ongoing cleanup efforts and waterfront revitalization have brought outdoor recreation right back to the neighborhood's doorstep.

Today, Lakeland offers a relaxed, close-knit feel with a fast commute along Interstate 690 and State Fair Boulevard.
