Lakeside town (San Patricio County), TX

Lakeside is an incorporated town in San Patricio County, just west of Mathis and near Lake Corpus Christi. The town's earlier name was Lakewood Heights; it took the name Lakeside when the community incorporated around 1994. That gives the place a newer origin than the older county towns around it, even though the surrounding landscape has the familiar South Texas mix of open land, lake country, farm roads, and nearby working communities.
