Lakeview Estates, GA

Lakeview Estates is an unincorporated Rockdale County census-designated place also known locally as Sunrise Lakes. The subdivision’s early plans and county records from the 1970s use the Sunrise Lakes name and identify a recreation area around Lake Sunrise and Lake Rockaway. Today Rockdale County lists Lakeview Estates Park #1 on Lake Rockaway Road and Park #2 on Skyline Drive, giving the neighborhood two recognizable county park sites. The CDP occupies just over half a square mile near Conyers, but it carries both a formal census name and a local one. Lakeview Estates is a Georgia neighborhood whose everyday identity lives in the name Sunrise Lakes.
