Lamy, NM

Lamy is a quiet, historic hamlet tucked into the high desert about 18 miles south of Santa Fe. The town grew around the railroad in the 1880s, when steep terrain forced the main railway line to bypass Santa Fe and stop here instead. For generations, travelers hopped off the train in Lamy and caught a connection north into the capital. Today, the community keeps that peaceful, Old West character, surrounded by rolling hills, piñon trees, and wide-open New Mexico skies.
