Lānaʻi City is a census-designated place on the island of Lānaʻi, serving as the commercial center of the island in Maui County, Hawaii. Established in the 1920s by pineapple entrepreneur James Drummond Dole to house plantation workers, the community of approximately 3,393 features a historic town square surrounding Dole Park. The town is home to the Lānaʻi Community Hospital and the Lānaʻi High and Elementary School.
