Lancaster, SC

Lancaster is a city and the county seat of Lancaster County, South Carolina, located within the Charlotte metropolitan area. Named after the royal House of Lancaster, the city of approximately 8,921 is home to the University of South Carolina at Lancaster, which was founded in 1959. Public education is administered by the Lancaster County School District.
