About Landa

Landa is a city in Bottineau County, North Dakota, United States. The 2020 census counted 41 residents. Landa was founded in 1904. The extension westward of the railroad in 1903 led to the establishment of Landa along the Great Northern Railway. Landa's local map joins its older history to the places and landscapes that still shape the town today, all within the wider North Dakota setting. The local scoop is how Landa's history still shows up in the places people visit, work, learn, and meet. Originally named Strabane, Norwegian immigrants renamed it after Daniel D. Landa is located in Scotia Township in the northern part of the county.
