About Lander

Lander is a city and the county seat of Fremont County, Wyoming, situated in central Wyoming along the Middle Fork of the Popo Agie River. Located just south of the Wind River Indian Reservation, the community of approximately 7,400 serves as a tourism gateway with several guest ranches and access to Sinks Canyon State Park and the Wind River Range. Public education is administered by the Fremont County School District.
