About Landisburg

Tucked into the scenic hills of western Perry County, Landisburg got its start in the 1790s when James Landis first laid out the town. It briefly served as the county seat in the 1820s, drawing in early shops, inns, and craftsmen who built the foundation for the community. You can still see that deep history today in the brick and stone houses that line the quiet streets, giving the borough an authentic, settled character.
