Las Palmas II is a Cameron County census-designated place in the western Brownsville-Harlingen metropolitan area, bordered by Harlingen to the north and Juarez to the east. It was separated from the older Las Palmas-Juarez CDP before the 2010 census, so the name carries a built-in map story: one community became two census places.
