Laughlin, NV

Laughlin sits at the southernmost tip of Nevada along the banks of the Colorado River, right across the water from Bullhead City, Arizona. Founded as a small casino getaway in the 1960s, the community has grown into a relaxed desert town of around 8,500 residents. It offers the perks of Nevada living at a much slower, quieter pace than Las Vegas, located about ninety minutes to the north. Life here centers around the water, with Lake Mohave, Davis Dam, and the river providing easy access to boating, fishing, and year-round sunshine.

While the casino corridor lines the riverfront, daily life in Laughlin is quiet and unhurried. Most neighborhoods sit slightly inland against the desert hills, with local schools, neighborhood parks, and the paved Colorado River Greenway trail close at hand. Residents regularly cross the bridge into Bullhead City for major groceries, big-box shopping, and healthcare, making it easy to enjoy scenic mountain views and Nevada's tax benefits with everyday essentials right across the river.
