Laurel is a historic town in Sussex County, Delaware, operating within the Salisbury metropolitan area. Originally established in the eighteenth century as a Nanticoke settlement known as Broad Creek Town and home to a historic public library founded in 1909, the community of approximately 4,152 is served by the Laurel School District for public education for local students.
