Laurel, VA

Laurel is a census-designated place in Henrico County, just outside Richmond. Its older names included Hungary, Hungary Station, and Jenningsville, reflecting families and crossroads that shaped the area before modern suburban growth. The Laurel Industrial School Historic District is one of its key historic references, and Laurel Skate Park gives the community a contemporary local landmark. Today Laurel is mostly residential and suburban, tied to Henrico County schools, Richmond-area roads, and the everyday geography north of the city.
