About Lebanon

Lebanon is a city and the county seat of Laclede County, Missouri, situated along Interstate 44 and the historic Route 66 in the Ozark foothills. Founded in 1849 and named after Lebanon, Tennessee, the hometown of many early settlers, the community of approximately 15,300 is the principal city of the Lebanon micropolitan area. Public education is administered by the Lebanon R-III School District, whose girls wrestling team won the inaugural MSHSAA State Championship in 2019.
