Leighton, AL

Leighton is a historic town in eastern Colbert County, Alabama, situated south of the Tennessee River. Part of the Florence-Muscle Shoals metropolitan area, commonly known as the Shoals, the community has a population of about seven hundred. First settled in the early 1810s, the town features three schools operated by the Colbert County School System.
