Leisure World, MD

Leisure World is a census-designated place and unincorporated area in Montgomery County, Maryland, situated within the Washington metropolitan area. An age-restricted, gated community primarily inhabited by retirees, the community of approximately 8,900 features amenities including clubhouses, an eighteen-hole golf course, and an eight-acre lake, with sixty-five percent of the surrounding area preserved as green space. The community was formerly known as the Rossmoor census-designated place for the 2000 census.
