Leland sits right between Lake Leelanau and Lake Michigan, so you are never more than a quick stroll from the water. Daily life here revolves around the outdoors, from quiet beach mornings to boating along the river. The heart of the village is Fishtown, a collection of weathered wooden shanties and docks where commercial fishermen still bring in fresh whitefish and ferries run out to the Manitou Islands.
