Lemont, PA

Sitting right at the base of Mount Nittany, Lemont is a historic village just two miles east of downtown State College and the Penn State campus. With a population of around 2,000, it offers a relaxed, small-town atmosphere while keeping you minutes from everything in the area. The neighborhood features well-preserved nineteenth-century homes, quiet streets along Spring Creek, and easy access to the popular Mount Nittany trailhead.

The center of the village revolves around the historic John I. Thompson Grain Elevator and the Village Green, which hosts community events like summer band concerts and the annual Strawberry Festival. Residents fall within the State College Area School District, and getting to campus or downtown is simple thanks to Route 26 and local CATA bus routes.
