About Lenoir City

Lenoir City is a suburban city located primarily in Loudon County, Tennessee, within the Knoxville metropolitan area. Situated along the Tennessee River southwest of Knoxville, the community of approximately 11,100 is bounded to the south by Fort Loudoun and Watts Bar reservoirs. Historically known for the early nineteenth-century Lenoir Cotton Mill, the city is a regional transport junction served by U.S. Routes 11 and 321, and operates its own municipal school system.
