Leon Valley is a city in Bexar County, Texas, serving as an independent enclave completely surrounded by the northwest side of San Antonio. Developed in the 1940s as a rural farming community along Bandera Road and incorporated in 1952, the city of approximately 11,400 lies just three miles southwest of the South Texas Medical Center. Zoned within the Northside Independent School District, the city operates its own municipal services.
