About Lincoln Park

Lincoln Park is a Downriver city in Wayne County, just southwest of Detroit. Long before incorporation, an area along the Ecorse River was the site of an important meeting during Pontiac's War, giving the city deeper historical roots than its industrial-suburban surface suggests. Council Point Park preserves some of that local geography, and Lincoln Park Public Schools serves the community. The city feels dense, working-class, and closely tied to Detroit, with older neighborhoods, small lots, and strong Downriver identity.
