Logansport, LA

Logansport sits right along the Sabine River on the Louisiana-Texas state line, where US 84 brings you across the water and directly into town. The community got its start in the 1830s as a ferry crossing founded by Dr. Logan, eventually growing into a busy trade stop during the steamboat era. Today, the crossing still defines the town, welcoming drivers with wide river views before they even reach Main Street.

The riverfront area is one of the most appealing spots in town. Dennis Freeman Memorial Riverfront Park sits right beside the bridge, featuring a boardwalk, walking paths, a gazebo, and plenty of green space for picnics. It serves as a natural gathering place where residents can fish, take an evening stroll, or enjoy local events throughout the year. For newcomers, it offers a peaceful, small-town atmosphere right at the edge of the state.
