About Longmeadow

Longmeadow is a residential town just south of Springfield in western Massachusetts. First settled in the 1600s and incorporated in 1783, it has deep Connecticut River Valley roots and a traditional New England town layout. Bay Path University is based here, and the town is known for schools, older homes, and a residential, established suburban feel. Longmeadow is close to Springfield's jobs and institutions, but its day-to-day character is more residential, leafy, and deliberately low-key.
