About Longport

Longport is a wealthy coastal borough on the Jersey Shore, situated on Absecon Island in Atlantic County, New Jersey. Named in 1882 to honor early landowner James Long and popular for beach recreation and surfing, the community of approximately 901 is served by the Margate City Schools district for public primary education for students.
